Symptoms & Reasons to Visit
How We Diagnose
We run a strict 2-hour preoperative safety screening including Scheimpflug corneal elevation maps (Pentacam) and manual dry eye tear quality tests to determine your optimal custom procedure. All procedures are personally performed by Dr. Fouad El Sayyad using the advanced Carl Zeiss VisuMax 800 and MEL 90 excimer lasers.
Treatment Options
- SMILE Pro: The ultimate, flapless, 10-second vision correction procedure with rapid healing
- Femto-LASIK: Precise, computerized laser flap creation with customized wavefront polishing
- PRK: Flapless surface ablation ideal for active lifestyles or thinner corneas
- Phakic IOLs (ICL): Premium implantable contact lenses for high refractive errors
What to Expect During Your Visit
On the day of surgery, local numbing drops are applied. The laser active time is under 8 seconds per eye. You will feel a light touch but no pain. You will walk out of the laser suite immediately and most patients notice significantly improved clarity within the first 24 to 48 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is SMILE Pro better than Femto-LASIK?
SMILE Pro is the latest advancement. It is completely flapless, meaning it preserves corneal biomechanical strength and causes significantly less temporary dry eye. However, both provide outstanding results; the best option depends on your custom eye maps.
How long do the results of laser eye surgery last?
Laser vision correction permanently reshapes the cornea. While your eye shape is permanently corrected, natural aging changes (like needing reading glasses after age 40) will still occur naturally.
